Solar Engineer

Plan, coordinate, and manage project execution to ensure completion within the approved timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Prepare, review, and update engineering drawings, technical calculations, reports, and project documentation.

Review and approve subcontractors' work plans, method statements, and project submissions.

Coordinate with internal departments, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and milestones are achieved.

Monitor project progress, including statutory submissions, authority approvals, and compliance with project schedules.

Organize and attend client meetings, consultant meetings, project coordination meetings, and site meetings.

Ensure site activities are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.

Manage project execution from project award through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and relevant authorities throughout the project lifecycle.

Handle daily operational matters related to project implementation and site management.

Prepare regular project progress reports, monitor work schedules, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Monitor completed projects to ensure optimal system performance and operational reliability.

Plan and execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities for completed projects.

Investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions, and coordinate maintenance works to ensure minimal system downtime.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.

Responsibility :

Ensure projects are well-planned, on schedule, and within budget.

Manage and lead project team, fostering collaboration and productivity.

Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.

Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.

Maintain project quality standards and ensure deliverable meet requirements.

Manage project budgets and control costs.

Define and manage project scope to prevent scope creep.

Ensure projects are completed on time.

Handle changes in project scope and objectives effectively.

Maintain project documentation and provide regular status reports.

Ensure client satisfaction by meeting their expectations.

Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.

To carry out any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time.

Authority :

Recommend technical solutions to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and engineering best practices.

Review and verify engineering drawings, technical submissions, and project documentation prior to implementation.

Coordinate with project teams, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Escalate technical issues and recommend corrective actions to the Project Manager where necessary.

Academic Qualification :

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Skills & Experience :

Minimum 2 years of working experience in the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry.

Experience in the design, installation, testing, commissioning, or maintenance of solar PV systems.

Knowledge of commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar projects will be an added advantage.

Able to interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Experience with PVsyst, Helioscope, or other solar design software is an added advantage.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication, interpersonal, and project coordination skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willing to travel and work at project sites throughout Malaysia. Knowledge of Malaysian electrical standards and solar industry regulations will be an added advantage.
